Talks to try to reach a settlement out of court are continuing.

The rig exploded in the Gulf of Mexico in April 2010, claiming the lives of 11 workers.

BP could be fined $17.6bn (?11.1bn) if a judge rules the firm caused water pollution through gross negligence.

The spill released more than four million barrels of crude oil from BP's Macondo well.

The UK firm is expected to blame its main contactor, Halliburton, which is a fellow defendant.

BP has so far paid out $7.5bn in clean-up costs and compensation.

US President Barack Obama called the spill "the worst environmental disaster the nation has ever faced".

It took 85 days to permanently stop the release of crude oil.

Fellow contractor Transocean, the owner of the Deepwater Horizon rig, is also a defendant in the case.

CARROLLTON ? A well-known Dallas chef and restaurateur is dead following a tense standoff with police late Friday night.

Carrollton police said the suspect, 52-year-old Travis Henderson of Carrollton, had reportedly been involved in a family disturbance, was found in a car with a gun outside the Valley View Christian Church, 17601 Marsh Lane.

The Dallas police SWAT team was called in at 9:12 p.m. to try and talk Henderson into surrendering after the first units heard a noise believed to be a gun shot. Investigators said the suspect had indicated he had planned to harm himself.

Dallas police spokesman Lt. James Walton said Dallas police negotiators made contact with the suspect.? But then ? at 11:45 p.m. ? Henderson exited the car brandishing a handgun.

"A Dallas SWAT officer, fearing for his safety, discharged his firearm," Lt. Walton said in a written statement. "The suspect was struck and died at the scene."

Henderson was the longtime chef at Newport's Seafood in the Dallas West End and was owner of The Place at Perry's in Uptown Dallas. He left Perry's in 2010 and had been working as a restaurant consultant.

Debbie Henderson told News 8 her husband was a good man and a loving father who had struggled with depression for years.

"I wish I could have done more," she said.

Dallas police identified the officer who fired the fatal shot as SWAT Senior Cpl. Samuel McDonnold, and Dallas will be handling the investigation of the shooting.

Friess spent time with Santorum in Iowa, where he was winning. But after that, the candidate faded in a blink. Santorum slumped to fifth place in New Hampshire, beset by hecklers, hostile crowds and a muddled message that too often veered from the economic populism that endears him to working-class Republicans. But for now, as I write in the new issue of TIME, Santorum looks to be the last man standing between the Republican base and a Romney coronation.

To sustain the momentum, Santorum?s campaign is scrambling to devise a strategy that allows it to compete with Romney?s deep-pocketed, well-oiled machine as 10 states head to the polls on Super Tuesday, March 6.??We learned a lot from trying to ramp up quickly after Iowa,? says Mike Biundo, Santorum?s campaign manager. ?We didn?t have the bandwidth at that point to run the kind of campaign we needed.? The campaign is weighing how to spread its cash across the multiple states and is likely to target conservative states ??including Georgia, Oklahoma, North Dakota, Idaho and Tennessee ??where it hopes to avoid costly air wars.

The plum prize, of course, is the Michigan primary on Feb. 28. A victory in Romney?s home state would be an embarrassment for Romney and would dispel what aura of inevitability the front runner has left. No matter the issues that are created because of disorders or related to symptoms in general they need to be treated. Yet, a majority of those that suffer from any mood disorder never seek treatment. A mood disorder is more than just being in a bad mood from time to time. Everyone goes through moods throughout their day and throughout their lives. Having a disorder can really take over your life. It can cause you to not do things because you don?t feel like it or you want to avoid people. You might start to say away from others because of how you feel or because of how you might act when you are in a certain situation. It doesn?t have to be this way and you can enjoy your life again. There is help available.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 to debut at MWC? Definitely, maybe.

We've all heard of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 and the Galaxy Note... but the Galaxy Note 10.1? That's a new one to us. The pinch of salt you should take this with could rim the entire nation's margarita glasses for a year, but hints have come from more than one source now that Samsung has an up-sized styli-friendly slate in the works. The unconfirmed device was listed on the Samsung site, alongside the standard Note, Wave 3 and Wave Y as being highlighted at a developer event at MWC. We'd have ignored it and written it off as a typo if it wasn't for a listing at Backstage looking for "teen student" to use "his Galaxy Note 10.1." Intriguing, no? Even more suspicious, both the casting call and the developer day listing have been removed. Of course, it's entirely possible that both appearances of the Note 10.1 were simple typos but, we won't lie, we're really hoping a larger sized slate with an S Pen.

Update: Samsung told us that it doesn't "comment on future product announcements." Looks like we'll have to wait.
