Heck, I even have a guide buried in the Library regarding how to combine character development with combat maneuvers. By and large, though, character development is something that just happens. A cheery and good-natured sort might become world-weary and suspicious after being raped, to take one extreme example.
Regarding playing males vs. females, there's no real difference aside from social norms. Play the sort of character you want.
As for lengthy posts, I generally only hit 300 words on a good day, so the best advice I have is to make an initial post in a word processor, then add in extra details using previous activity. I tend to make gratuitous use of the edit button to achieve this, but that's just my style. This gets easier when your partners make long posts, too.
The war has ended for now and peace has been restored. But those who sacrificed themselves for the victory will never return. Exhausted, X gazes at the destruction he helped cause and wonders why he chose to fight. Was there another way?Standing on the cliff, the answers seem to escape him. He only knows that he'll fight the Mavericks again before he finds his answer.
How long will he keep on fighting? How long will his pain last? Maybe only the X-Buster on his hand knows for sure...
