Today?s Tech: iPhone 5 release date, BlackBerry 10 delays, iTunes revamp, LG Optimus L7 review

Slowly but surely, more details surrounding Apple's iPhone 5 launch are starting to drip through. The latest we have is a predicted September release, which JP Morgan analyst Mark Moskowitz believes will tee the phone up for a 2013 market-dominating onslaught. Time for the big rival, Samsung's Galaxy S3 to step aside? Let us know if you think Apple's product will outflank the record-breaking S3.

But while the iPhone release is now fixed firmly on our horizon, the same cannot be said for poor RIM's BlackBerry 10 operating system. Fans of the platform desperately want to get their hands on the long-anticipated upgrade and perhaps help revive the fortunes of its Canadian creator in the process, but CEO Thorsten Heins has admitted the building process has been more trying than expected and we'll now have to wait until 2013 to see the OS. That's if RIM is still around by then...

Back down to Cupertino, and busy Apple is also planning to revamp its iTunes service - substantially. In news that should please a lot of people, reports say the changes will be the biggest ever made to the program and will be done and dusted by the end of the year. So hopefully those all-too-familiar chugging loads, crashes and awkward syncs will soon be a thing of the past.

Heading to our shores now, where Ofcom has published its complaints data regarding telecoms companies for the first quarter of this year, so we can all have a good nose at who's been moaned about the most and see what network we should consider switching to next. Top of the complaints pile is a company that lends its name to a popular number, typically the next in sequence after 1 and 2. But you'll have to follow the link to see who we're talking about and how other networks fared.

As always ITProPortal quenches your tech thirst with reviews as well as news, and today our mobile specialist Rob Kerr has penned his critique of the LG Optimus L7 smartphone. Will this Android Ice Cream Sandwich number be worth a splash of your cash? Check out Rob's comprehensive review to find out.
